Dedicated to Hashem

In the summer of 2013, I was working as a volunteer in a permanent refugee camp on the West Bank in Palestine. There I met Hashem from Hebron. He and his family had to put up with attacks and harassment of Israeli settlers, because they refused to leave their house. Two years later, he died from tear gas inhalation after a heart attack. When I heard about that, I thought a lot about him and his family and decided to tell the story about them and other people I met. For example about children growing up in permanent refugee camps and how that affects their lives, but also about the night when Mohammed Assaf from Gaza won Arab Idol and no cars could drive because all the people were out dancing in the streets.
